POV: You Hired Enchanted for your Wedding

After the initial excitement of going from dating to engaged settles, most people realize they have no idea what comes next. Some thrive when faced with the unknown, and others find it stressful. Enchanted is here to help both the bold and the anxious maintain their excitement and make it to their wedding afloat the same cloud they’ve been on since their engagement.

We figured the best way to help you understand what we do is to show you. We’re going to take you through everything that happens from the moment you consider trusting us with planning your very special day. Ready? Let’s get to it!

1. Phase I: The Inquiry Process

The algorithm is fully aware you’re newly engaged and your for you page is flooded with wedding content. That’s where you come across one of our posts. You notice how beautiful our client weddings look, but not only that, how calm our beaming brides seem, and the thought crosses your mind: Am I one of those people who needs a wedding planner? Seventeen seconds later you decide that you are. You click the link in our bio and end up on our website. After taking a quick look around, you decide to submit an inquiry form.

You begin to fill out the form with your basic information…

Name: Easy enough

Email: Simple

Phone: It hasn’t changed since high school

Event Date: Yikes! Do I need to have a date already? You realize the question is not required and quickly skip over it. You’re not quite there yet.

Location: You’re still browsing venues…skip!

Theme/Color Scheme: Classic black and white…maybe all pastels…who knows!

Any other details: I have no idea please help!

You click submit and feel good about your decision to chat with someone who can help you determine whether you need a professional. The next day you receive an email inviting you to schedule a call. That was quick!

It’s meeting day! You power up your Zoom app that you haven’t used since peak Covid and feel relieved you decided to do this. Oh shoot, you’re on mute. Quick fix and you’re off! You learn all about Enchanted's range of production services and can’t believe they take on so much. They’ll actually schedule and virtually attend all your vendor meetings with you at your request. Wow! This might not be so stressful after all. You answer a few questions about your personality, preferences, and style and that’s it. A quote will appear in your inbox in the next couple of days. You hope it’s within your budget because now that you know what Enchanted can do for you, you can’t imagine not having them do it.

You open your email the next day and find your Enchanted quote. Everything you were hoping for is included and reasonably priced. You hit reply and type, “Hi Jordan, this looks great! Where do I sign?” That brings us to Phase II.

Phase II: The Plan

You schedule another meeting with your coordinator to begin planning your wedding. This isn’t a nice little check-in, when they say plan, they mean plan. She starts by giving you a budgeting spreadsheet and a planning tracker. Then she shares her screen and shows you how to access your Event Hub, where you'll upload all your vendor contracts and contact information. Your coordinator plays no games, she’s prepared to advocate on your behalf to ensure all vendors execute your contractually-binding, agreed-upon vision.

She even manages to make the one thing you’ve been dreading a little less dreadful by providing you with a Guest List template. It tracks all invitees, RSVPs, and their meal choices. Phew!

Lastly, she provides you with a list of vendor recommendations to check out, which is a huge help. You knew you wanted flowers, but there are quite literally hundreds of florists near you. Calling all of them is out of the question. Now you’re able to view a few photos of floral arrangements they’ve created at recent weddings and inquire accordingly. The catering, signage, and transportation recommendations will be a huge help too when the time comes.

You can’t believe how much you accomplished in one call. You’ve got a few tasks to handle before your next call, but it feels so manageable thanks to all the direction, recommendations, and freebies your coordinator provided. You take added comfort in knowing you can email or text with any questions that come up along the way. You are most definitely the wedding planner type of fiance.

Phase III: Meet the Team

Your wedding is 45 days away! You’ve been busy stalking Pinterest and TikTok to help firm up your vision. You’ve attended a half dozen vendor meetings with your coordinator and have almost all of your vendors booked. Now it’s time to meet your team.

Your help has just doubled. Time to meet a phenomenal addition to your already fantastic team. Your new team member’s name is Kristen and she jumps in without missing a beat. The three of you review your draft schedule, and your list of confirmed vendors, ask and answer questions, and review the next steps. You still need to book someone to do hair and makeup for you and your bridal party and it’s stressing you out a bit. Jordan and Kristen provide you with three time-tested hair and makeup vendors and offer to schedule your trials. This must be how Rhianna feels.

After an hour of getting ish done, you’re granted full access to your team via phone and email. You can call, text, or email them until the last guest departs your wedding venue. You now have a sedative in human form whenever you begin to feel overwhelmed.

PHASE IV: The Check-ins

T-minus 30 days til ‘I do.” Time to check in with the dream team. This one’s quick because most of the heavy lifting is done. Your day-of timeline is scheduled down to 5-minute increments in some places. It’s good to know everything is scheduled perfectly, but with buffers built in so nothing feels rushed.

You update your team on your hair and makeup vendors and chat about wedding etiquette. You’re not sure if you want a bouquet toss and you think you want a first look. Your coordinators take you through the pros and cons of each and you’ve arrived at your decision.

You have another call with your dream team two weeks before your wedding. They review your finalized timeline and send it to all your vendors. You can’t think of any questions. You’re too excited. You’re about to be married!

The week of your wedding you’ve DIY’ed a few special touches. You review where you’d like them to be placed. Then you decide on a breakdown plan that your team will oversee. They’ve confirmed where you want cards and gifts to end up at the end of the night so nothing is left behind or misplaced. You’re also informed you’re forbidden from seeing the timeline on your wedding day because you’ll be considered a guest from here on out.

T’was the night before your wedding and time to rehearse. What do you even do at a rehearsal? Isn’t it just dinner? One of your coordinators meets you at the venue to corral your wedding party, line them up, tell them how to process, and at what pace, show them where to stand, and threaten their lives if they get in the way of the photographer during your first kiss.

Phase v: The big day!

You wake up at 7 AM for your 6 o’clock wedding. This is about to be the longest, most exciting, and eventful day of your life. Your maid of honor has breakfast laid out for you. You grab some fruit and a croissant and spend some time with your best friends before they start being called for hair and makeup. There’s not all that much for you to do. Your vows are written, your dress is steamed, and your photographer won’t be there for another few hours.

You’re about to stand in front of everyone you hold dear and profess your love and commitment to your best friend. Your phone vibrates. It’s a text from Jordan reassuring you that everything is taken care of and congratulating you on your wedding day. She’ll be on-site in a few hours, in time to make sure that your hair and makeup begin on schedule.

When your lead coordinator arrives, she’s a hit with the wedding party right away. The second half of your dream team is en route to the venue to welcome the vendors and make sure everything is set up exactly as planned.

The morning and afternoon went by fast, but you were able to soak in every last moment. As you arrive at the venue the dream team is back together again. It’s time for some pictures, but the groomsmen are scattered around the venue–three are at the bar, one is outside, and two are checking out the view. Your coordinator tracks them all down while your lead prepares you for your first look. Perfection!
Your ceremony was a dream. You were even able to make it to the second half of your cocktail hour, as promised. All that’s left is entrances, speeches, and dinner then it’s time to party the night away. Don’t ask me how we got here, I just trusted the Enchanted process and had the absolute best day of my life.

Our Brides’ POV

Jordan, Kristen and Tori from Enchanted Events are the dream team! We booked day-of coordination services with Enchanted for our wedding at Kinney Bungalow on 9/29/2023 and truly owe the success of the entire day to them! From the time we booked, to the last shuttle out of the venue on our wedding day, they supported us every step of the way. We had multiple meetings with Jordan and Kristen leading up to our event to plan out the timeline and the details, and then they took over all the communication in the final week so that all we needed to worry about was being present on our wedding day. Kristen was able to facilitate our ceremony rehearsal the evening before and then spent the entire day with us on Friday to make sure we all stayed on schedule while Tori was on site at our venue helping set up for our last minute indoor ceremony due to the rain. If anything went wrong on my wedding day, I certainly didn't hear about it! My bridal party and family were raving about how great Kristen was and how we don't know what we would have done without her. I am SO glad we decided to work with Enchanted Events! Thank you ladies for the most perfect day!!
